On assignment for London Daily Express, here is the Boston Strangler in his cell at Walpol men’s maximum security prison. Albert DeSalvo was a convicted serial killer who murdered 13 women in the Boston area between 1962 and 1964.
I was able to convince the warden to allow me to photograph DeSalvo. DeSalvo had a thriving business making jewelry chokers in prison, one of which he is displaying in the first photo. He received a lot of love letters in prison and a lot of orders for his necklaces. It’s a sick world out there folks, stay safe!

This photograph was very important to me because it was in the beginning of his battle with Parkinson’s Disease. It was very difficult for me to see Ali in this condition. I was very concerned that his Parkinson’s disease was progressing. I had photographed Ali for many years years and it was hard to see him in this condition. RIP to The Greatest

I was aware that things had slowed down for him, as this shoot took place about a year after the world noticed that he had Parkinson’s. I had the pleasure of photographing this legend throughout the years. I was so upset that Ali was suffering so much.
